A Windy Day

My body feels completely relaxed after two hours of the sweet stroking jets of the hot tub last night. I woke up early this morning to organize some papers and things on the computer and went out for Christmas shopping after noon. With a high winds advisory out, I can hear gusts of wind crashing against the window like waves against the shore, but that didn't stop shoppers on a busy holiday shopping weekend. Shoppers braved the high winds for that unique gift or holiday sale and the wind?...a mere annoyance.

Vincent Van Gogh: Wind Beaten Tree

Perhaps the wind
Wails so in winter for the summer's dead,
And all sad sounds are nature's funeral cries
For what has been is and not.
-George Eliot
